Beeswax is a traditional Chinese medicine. It is the wax secreted by the Chinese honey bee Apis cerana Fabricius or the Italian honey bee Apis mellifera Linnaeus.
It has the effects of detoxification, healing sores, promoting tissue regeneration, and relieving pain.
It is often used for ulcers that do not heal, erosion of ecthyma, ulceration of external injuries, and burns.
